Demonetization leaves Indian pilgrims in lurch in Mecca

Indian Muslims who are in Mecca to undertake Umrah are left in lurch with the Central government’s sudden decision. For, there is no option for them to convert Indian currency into Saudi Riyal. They have to approach money exchange centres.  But with the demonetization, these centres too have stopped functioning. This is causing great inconvenience to the pilgrims.  They have now urged Indian Embassy to rush to their help or at least provide an alternative arrangements for them.
