Go Pink Premium, a private cab service company based out of Rajajinagar in the city, has launched a new service to pick up and drop kids in a cab driven by a female driver. Parents can opt for this service even to send their children to tuitions. ``We started this service in June,” said Anuradha, co-founder of Go Pink Premium. “Right now, we are providing pick up and drop service to limited schools. We are getting calls from other schools too. But due to shortage of resources we are not able to meet with the demand. Hopefully that it will be resolved with increased resources.” An MBA graduate, Anuradha also doubles up as a driver. “Our drivers have BSc (Home Science) and diploma degrees. We look for underprivileged girls. Most of our cab drivers are in the age group of 21-23 and from ‘Abalashrama’ and slums. After checking their background, we send them to be trained by Maruti Suzuki. We also provide them self-defence training,” said Anuradha. Go Pink Premium started 11 months back in order to provide fear-free cab service to female customers. They even have special service to cater to senior citizens who wish to visit temples and hospitals.
