They – along with their faculty – cleared garbage and waste in their neighbourhood. They also planted a sapling in the locality. The school also supported the students by helping them manage waste responsibly. Each class was given a pair of bins with fertilizer powder which would help them turn waste into compost. The same compost will be then used to plant vegetables.According to Niru Agarwal, trustee, Greenwood High International School “The students approached us with their idea of celebrating the day and we were more than happy to help them. It is heartening to see that the students come forward and actively participate to help make the earth a better place to live in. Their efforts reflect how much they are concerned towards environment.”
