It is followed by Udupi district and Kodagu. With 44.16 pass percentage, Yadgir district is in the last position. But, interestingly, it is girls who have secured top position in all the three sections - Anita Basappa of Indu PU College, Kottur in Arts section has secured 585 of 600; in Science, Rakshita Taman of Sardar PU College, Bengaluru has aced with 596 and Sahana Kulkarni, Darbar PU College, Vijayapura has secured 594 in Commerce. Second PU exams were conducted between March 11 and 28 in 1032 exam centres. As many as 6,36,368 students had appeared for the exam of which 3,64,013 students have passed. This year, pass percentage in state is 57.02 per cent while Dakshina Kannada district is ahead with 90.48 per cent. Like every year, girls have outperformed boys with 64.78 per cent and as many as 91 colleges have got zero pass percentage. Supplementary exams will be conducted on July 1.
