PU lecturers threaten to boycott evaluation over pay parity

Submitted by alvin on Sat, 2017-03-04 13:27 Bengaluru: There could be a delay in evaluation of second PU answer scripts this year too as pre-university lecturers have threatened to boycott evaluation if the government fails to set right their pay parity. They want their pay scale to be on par with degree college lecturers. It is learnt that talks between Primary and Secondar Education Minister Tanvir Sait and office-bearers of Karnataka PU Lecturers' Association – on Friday – have failed to yield any results. The last revision took place during the sixth pay commission in 2012. But the state government is not ready to agree to their demands now.
