Submitted by Kumuda on Tue, 2016-06-07 15:50 Abu Dhabi: Bringing more professional development events to Abu Dhabi and extending areas of corporate social responsibility would be the priorities of The Indian Business/Professional Group (IBPG) for this year, said Dr B R Shetty, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NMC Healthcare. Shetty has been elected as Chairman of The Indian Business/Professional Group.IBPG is one of the most active business groups for the past 25 years among the 37 registered business groups in Abu Dhabi. It currently comprises 200 members.Addressing the members, chairman Dr Shetty said he has plans to increase the membership base of IBPG and also to work with other business groups locally and globally.Dr Shetty hoped that the IBPG will be instrumental in promoting India-UAE ties through its committee on Invest India.Yusuf Ali, MD, LuLu Group, has been nominated as vice-chairman of the Board. Dr Shetty and Yusuf Ali complimented outgoing Chairman Mohan Jashanmal for his contribution and service to IBPG over the years.The board also appointed an executive committee for a three-year term. They are Sudhir Shetty (president), Padmanabha Acharya (vice president), Rajiv Shah (secretary), Sheheen P V (treasurer) along with Shafeena Yusuf Ali, Seema Shetty, Shefali Jashanmal, Shalini Gangaramani, Dr Jairam Aithal, Monika Sardana, Rohit Murlaya, Gaurav Varma and Saifee Rupawala.
