Submitted by alvin on Thu, 2016-05-26 20:41 Bengaluru: A 26-year-old woman has filed a complaint with the Halasuru police against her ex-boyfriend for allegedly assaulting and threatening her to withdraw the complaint she had recently filed against him. The police said the victim, a resident of Srirampura and working in a private company in Indiranagar, had been in a relationship with Adibullah Shariff, a resident of KG Halli, for around six months. But unable to bear the harassment, she broke up with him. Around 6.30am on Thursday, as the victim was returning home after finishing her night shift, her ex-boyfriend along with his family members cornered her at the Indiranagar metro station. They threatened her with dire consequences if she did not withdraw the complaint. Shariff allegedly assaulted her and threatened her with a knife. The victim managed to escape and rushed to the police station, where she filed a complaint seeking action against Shariff. The victim stated that Shariff had been pestering her to marry him, but unable to bear the harassment the victim had filed a complaint with the KG Halli police on April 17. Based on the complaint, the Halasuru police have taken up a case of assault and criminal intimdation against Shariff and efforts are on to nab him.
