They slapped & pushed me. Girl complains against sexual assault by miscreants in Bengaluru

The police have arrested four persons

Bengaluru: A college student who questioned high-handedness of a man, for abusing her for no reason, was allegedly sexually assaulted by him and a few men at Chikkajala police station limits near Vijaya Bank on Sunday.

Following a complaint by her the police have taken four persons into custody. The arrested are identified as L Manjunath, Ravi, Krishna and Praveen.

The incident occurred when the girl was riding with her friend in a two-wheeler on March 19 at around 9 pm. According to the girl, they were coming from the airport to the city in Service Road when a man blocked their way. Without any provocation, he abused her. When the duo questioned him for coming in wrong direction and abusing them, he snatched their vehicle key and called out a few people. "A few auto drivers and others surrounded us and assaulted my friend. They slapped and pushed me to the ground. They touched me inappropriately and sexually assaulted me, screaming that I don't belong here. They pushed us down," said the girl. Later, the duo pleaded the crowd to give their vehicle key. They threw the key on them and left the place, claimed the girl.
