Submitted by Editor on Fri, 2017-02-24 18:17 Bengaluru: City-based astrologer Chandrashekhar swami has gone missing from his RT Nagar residence after a cheating case was filed against him by a businessman here on Friday. It is said that Ashraf Ali, a businessman had given Rs two crore to Swamiji to buy advertisement space around Bengaluru Palace Grounds. The complainant said that the astrologer allegedly claimed his proximity to royal scion Late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar while making the agreement on leasing out hoardings around Bengaluru Palace Grounds. Police have collected the documents and circumstantial evidences in this case and are investigating the case. Police sources said Chandrashekhar swamiji has gone missing as the news of cheating case spread. His wife Rajani C Bhat is also named as accused number 2. Chandrashekhar swami, a native of Mulki in Dakshina Kannada is most sought-after by VVIP cliencts to conduct special poojas. It may be recalled here that Rs one crore was seized from his house during the IT raid in 2013. The IT officials had also recovered Rs one crore in cash including foreign currency and other documents.
