Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2017-02-17 18:35 Bengaluru: Dark, days have returned to haunt BJP leader Katta Subramanya Naidu, as the Supreme Court will be hearing an appeal by State Government challenging the High Court order acquitting him and his son former BBMP corporator Katta Jagadish. Following a private complaint against him of irregularities in KIADB land acquisition and amassing wealth disproportionate to his known source of Income, Katta faced serious charges against him, Having lost his ministerial portfolio, he was sent to custody along with his son by the Lokayukta court judge Sudhindra Rao. However he was granted bail on health grounds, but the investigations continued. However he moved the High Court challenging the complaint against him. Justice Anand Byra Reddy on 16, March, 2016 had quashed the proceddings against him citing lack of evidence. The State Government further filed an appeal in the apex court challenging the order. Naidu is facing allegations of corruption.He was booked under sections 7,8,12, 13(1) (D) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
