Submitted by alvin on Wed, 2017-02-08 15:23 Bengaluru: The police have named former gangster-turned-journalist Agni Shridhar as accused number 2 in a case related to Arms Act where, his associate Bachhan and others were arrested on Tuesday. The police, who were on the trail of rowdy sheeters Rohith alias Onte and Sunil alias Silent Sunil – in connection with Kogilu Cross shootout case – tracked them down to Agni Shridhar’s house. After obtaining search warrant from the court, they searched Shridhar’s house on Tuesday. However, the duo managed to escape while the police seized huge cache of arms. Shridhar was detained for questioning on Tuesday. However, he was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a mild heart attack during the interrogation. The police might take him into custody once he is discharged from the hospital, today. At the same time, the police have taken Sridhar’s associate Syed Aman alias Bachhan, six of his bodyguards and Sunil and Rohith into 14 days police custody as part of the investigation into the shootout case involving Dasanapura APMC president K Srinivas and his driver near Kogilu Cross. Rohith alias Onte and Sunil alias Silent Sunil, the rowdy sheeters, had threatened Srinivas’ close friend and businessman Tata Ramesh, on Saturday.
