Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2017-02-03 19:45 Bengaluru: Police are suspecting real estate related gang rivalry in the murder attempt on rowdy-turned- politician Kadabagere Seena alias Daba Seena, who was shot at allegedly by hired sharp-shooters at Kogilu cross in Yelahanka on Friday. Sources said the shooters followed Daba Seena’s vehicle and wanted to open fire at several places including Hebbala and Mekhri Circle but couldn’t do so due to heavy traffic. Finally they fired 12 rounds at Daba Seena, who is the APMC president of Dasanapura, at Kogilu Cross. But Daba Seena and his driver Daya Moily survived the murder attempt are said to be safe after doctors at Columbia Asia removed the bullets through a surgery. “Only real estate people can afford to hire sharp-shooters. Involvement of underworld also can’t be ruled out,” an officer added. Police have already detained Daba Seena's younger brother, Benki Rama, for questioning. A senior police officer said that Poison Rama was used by Daba Seena for several criminal activities. Benki Rama is said to have not in good terms with his brother Daba Seena. Police are also looking at the possible role of Bettanagere Sheena gang, which operates in the Nelamangala area. They are collecting information on which gangs do use weapons which are prohinitted under Arms Act.
