ATM cash heist: Cops nab prime accused but no trace of money yet!

Submitted by alvin on Tue, 2016-11-29 14:24 Bengaluru: Dominic Roy, who escaped with Rs 1.37 crore ATM cash has been apprehended near Tin Factory in KR Puram on Tuesday. His wife Evelyn Roy had surrendered before the policeon Monday. However, the police are yet to recover the stolen cash from him. The police who have been trailing their movements suffered setback every time they went in search of them. However, they managed to nab him near the Tin Factory, where he was hiding to meet his family. Watch Video: "Dominic Roy has been arrested by Upparpet Police this morning near the tin factory at KR Puram," DCP West Anucheth said. However, no cash has been recovered from him, he said. When asked about the cash, DCP Anucheth said investigation was on. He suspected that the accused might have used some of the cash to repay his loans. In a daring daylight heist on November 23, Dominic, who was hired by Logicash, had escaped with Rs 1.37 crore cash collected from banks from Bank of Baroda branch in KG Road. Next day, the police found the vehicle abandoned at Vasant Nagar and recovered Rs 45 lakh out of the Rs 1.37 crore from the spot.
