Police trace cash-carrying vehicle near Mount Carmel College, find only Rs 44 lakh in it

Submitted by alvin on Thu, 2016-11-24 12:17 Bengaluru: The cash-carrying vehicle which went missing with Rs 1.37 crore in it from Kempegowda Road on Wednesday has been traced near Mount Carmel College in Vasantnagar on Thursday. The driver who hijacked the vehicle has been identified as Dominic Joy. He has decamped with Rs 93 lakh leaving Rs 44 lakh and a gun in the vehicle, said the police. Dominic was working with Secure Transit firm as a driver and the police have spread manhunt to nab the accused. It may be recalled here that Dominic had escaped with Rs 1.37 crore ATM cash from the Bank of India branch on Kempegowda Road near Majestic.​
