The arrested has been identified as Imran, a resident of Chennai, who had arrived at the KIA from Abu Dhabi. According to customs officials, the metal detector went off when Imran passed through it. But when authorities checked his baggage, they couldn't find anything incriminating. Perplexed, they subjected him to another test. This time, officials discovered an incision on Imran's foot. "With the help of doctors, they checked his foot and found the gold hidden in his foot," said a customs official. In another incident, customs officials arrested Vinay Kumar for trying to smuggle gold worth Rs 3.65 lakh. Vinay was hiding the yellow metal in his mouth but he was caught during security check.
