The deceased have been identified as Santhoshi and her son's 38-year-old wife Latha. Both had been stabbed. Their bodies were discovered by the latter's daughter when she returned from school just before noon. Police Commissioner NS Megharik said someone known to the victims might have committed the murder. “We have some suspects," said Megharik. But nobody has been arrested so far. Since nothing had been stolen from the house, the police are not considering the murders as a murder for gain, said sources.
