Submitted by alvin on Wed, 2016-09-21 19:38 Zeenath Bengaluru: A 41-year-old woman collapsed and died while waiting in a queue to get a food coupon to buy groceries on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Zeenath, a resident of DJ Halli. For several years now, businessman Asif, in a noble gesture, has been providing groceries for the needy by issuing tokens to about 5,000 members in advance. Zeenath On Wednesday, when his office opened at Shivajinagar, hundreds of people had lined-up to lay their hands on the coveted token. Among the hundreds was Zeenath, who had arrived thinking that the token could alleviate her financial burden during Ramadan. As she was suffering from health complications, the stress of standing in the queue was too much for Zeenath to bear and she collapsed. The Shivajinagar Police rushed Zeenath to Bowring Hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. Her husband appealed to the police to avoid performing postmortem on his wife due to religious sentiments and took the body to home for last rites.
