Two Nigerians held for drug peddling; Rs 1 cr worth drugs seized during raid

Submitted by Editor on Thu, 2016-08-04 20:25 Bengaluru: Narcotics and psychotropic substances worth around Rs1 crore were seized and two Nigerian nationals, including a woman, were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid on Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Roseline Ernest, 40, and Loveth Osasogie, 30. NCB officials said that a team raided a house in TC Palya on Wednesday based on specific information and seized a slew of narcotic substances such as cocaine (115 gms), cocaine tablets (02 gms), MDMA (30 gms), methamphetamine (43 gms), and LSD (0.25 gms). The duo was allegedly supplying drugs for parties and also selling drugs to students and youth in the city. "As per a preliminary enquiry, both the accused were living in India without valid documents. The accused have been arrested and are being produced before the magistrate,” an official release stated.
