Thieves log in, and sandalwood logs out from soap factory campus

Submitted by Editor on Thu, 2016-07-07 22:00 Bengaluru: Unidentified men felled three sandalwood trees and made away with the logs, from Mysore Sandal Soap Factory campus in Yeshwantpur Industrial Suburb in the early hours of Thursday.Police said thieves entered the premises by scaling the compound wall of the adjacent Metro station, chopped three sandalwood trees in the campus and fled with the logs from the campus. Three security guards were on duty when the incident took place.“The incident took place when the guards were resting in the early hours. The incident came to light when a staffer came for a walk in the morning. Immediately, the police were informed about the incident. CCTV footage has been analysed and the movement of the thieves has been captured. We are questioning the guards in connection with the incident,” the police added.A case is registered in Subramanayanagar police station in this connection.
