Submitted by alvin on Tue, 2016-08-16 19:55 Udupi: Amid skepticism about Manipal police’s attitude towards solving businessman Bhaskar Shetty’s murder case, the state government on Tuesday has decided to transfer the sensational case to Criminal Investigation Department (CID). It may be recalled here that the certain investigating officers in Manipal were found to be biased towards the accused – Rajeshwari Shetty (Shetty’s wife), Navneet Shetty (Shetty’s son) and Niranjan Bhat Asranna, a priest, who are now in judicial custody. SV Girish, ispector The members from Bunt community had urged district in-charge minister to hand over the case to CID. Responding to their appeals, the minister had appealed the government to transfer the investigating officer also Manipal circle inspector SV Girish. Girish is facing allegations for giving “special treatement” towards the accused. Girish is now facing a departmental inquiry.
