On Friday, the team has collected clothes of Rajeshwari, wife of Shetty and Niranjan Bhat Asranna, priest, which were given for laundry in Nitte. It is learnt that Rajeshwari had told the investigating officers about the blood-stained clothes given for laundry service. These include her night dress and cloths belongs to Niranjan Bhat Asranna. They took Rajeshwari to the laundry centre and recovered the clothes. Although the clothes have been cleaned now, the forensic team could still extract the evidence. According to sources, Rajeshwari – when giving her blood-stained clothes to laundry – had told them that due to a wound, her clothes were stained. She had asked them to clean it thoroughly. The investigating officers have already recovered bone pieces, ash and hair purportedly said to be of Bhaskar Shetty and will conduct a DNA test on ashes and clothes to confirm the role of the accused.
