At Rs 770 per ticket, Puneeth’s ‘Raajakumara’ sets unprecedented trend in Sandalwood

Tickets have already been sold out in most of the multiplexes

Bengaluru: Count down has begun for the much-awaited release of ‘Raajakumara’ movie starring ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar on March 24. But the fans who are planning to go for the ‘First Day First Show’ will have a pinch in their pockets.

According to the sources, tickets of the movie has already been sold out for the first week in one of the single screen theatres in the city. In multiplexes, managements have kept the prices over and above the average ticket price.

Consider this. At PVR Orion Gold, Rajajinagar, tickets for the first day first show (March 24, 9.30 am) is priced at Rs 425 but the last show on the same day here costs a whopping Rs 770, an unprecedented till now. Despite the heavy price, tickets have been sold out in most of the multiplexes, it is learnt.

If the trend continues, the movie collection is expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark in three weeks, sources pointed out.

With the movie generating huge expectations from family audience, satellite rights of the movie is also expected to generate windfall for the producer, sources said.
