In a first of its kind movie, director K Sreeram Babu's 'V-' (V minus) features no actors at all! A resident of Srinivaspur in Kolar district, Sreeram says the crew completed the film in 40 days. "The shooting was held in Kolar, Pavagada, Ballari and Hubballi. We have selected barren land and some buildings to shoot the film,’’ says Babu. But why direct such a film? “I came to Bengaluru to become a script writer but ended up as an associate for a few Kannada film directors," says Sreeram. "Unfortunately, these directors never encouraged me to become an independent director even after working with them for 12 years. Their attitude made me to think differently and come out with this concept. I wanted to prove my potential. So, I decided to direct 'V-'. I am confident of receiving the much-needed encouragement and support from Kannada film industry.’’ Babu says.the script of the film revolves around 15 unsatisfied souls. “There are no artistes in this film but I consider every property, including a costume, chair, bungalow or even a pen as an artiste. As far as my knowledge is concerned, no one in the world has made this type of film. I am planning to make it in all Indian languages. Now I am busy with the post-production work,’’ he says.
