Submitted by alvin on Thu, 2016-11-24 16:58 Chitradurga: Noted theatre personality and actor Ashok Badaradinni passed away at a private hospital here on Thursday. He was 65. Ashok is survived by wife Anusuya, daughters, Shilpa and Shubhangi and son, Prakash. A native of Achhanur in Bagalkot district, Ashok was talented since his school days. He had secured state-level VI rank in SSLC exam. Ashok completed his BSc from Karnatak Univrsity in Dharwad. Later, he secured a diploa in drama from the National School of Drama, New Delhi. Prakash made his theatre debut with BV Karanth's Benaka troupe in 1980 and he went on to perform at various places in the state. Prakash has acted in over 80 movies including 'Anjada Gandu', 'Manamechiida Hudugi'. Badaradinni has been honoured with Karnataka Natak Academy award, state award at the World Kannada convention among others.
