As Arnab prepares for last News Hour, Times Now still numero uno

Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2016-11-18 20:35 Bengaluru: Anchor Arnab Goswami will present the last News Hour on Friday on Times Now. The show, considered to be the most watched TV news show, will be anchored by new faces, who are being tested and tried by the channel. According to reports, the show, on air since 2006, may have a new format from Saturday onwards.  Since his resignation, Arnab has not been regular on his show. But, surprisingly, it hasn't had any impact on the popularity of the channel. BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) India viewers data for Week 45 between November 5 and 11 shows that the channel can still protect its No 1 slot without Arnab!    Data for this week shows that the weekly impression of Times Now was 1052000. In a distant second was CNN News 18, with a weekly impression of 497000.  The US elections hugely benefited all English news channels, so next week will be crucial for them.
