Leopard suffers broken ribs after speeding tempo traveller hits

Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-10-10 12:19 Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident, a leopard with its broken ribs was seen crawling to safety along the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway on Saturday night. A speeding tempo traveller hit the feline, injuring it badly. The impact was so much that the big cat was found crawling using its front legs to drag away its paralysed body, along the highway. A city-based photographer Syed Khazeem Aga, who was travelling on the stretch has caught this in his camera. Of late, the highways are turning into a death knell for wildlife. This is not the first time that animals have become victims to speeding motorists. Yet, no effort has been made to regulate the traffic, especially during night.
