Bengaluru: Prince refuses to fade away. Weeks after Bandipur's famous tiger was found dead, a video of the big cat's glory days is doing the rounds of the social media.
In the video, Prince is seen hunting a wild gaur in Bandipur zone. The video reportedly was shot by Dr Nanjappa, a retired state government employee in animal husbandry department, while he was on his way to his native village in Kodagu district. Strangely, the clip is said to have been shot in Nagarahole park while Prince operated in Bandipur.
The video clipping shows the tiger treading slowly and cautiously till it jumps into the bush and drags the prey out. Then he catches it by its throat and chokes the animal to death. The big cat then drags it away.
The same video was mentioned by wildlife biologist Dr Ullas Karanth. When Bfirst.in contacted Karanth, he confirmed it was Prince. "It is the same tiger BPT-222," said Dr Karanth. BPT 222 is none other than Prince.
