Bengaluru: New Vatican Ambassador to India, Rev. Giambattista Diquattro, along with Archbishop of Bengaluru, Rev. Bernad Moras, and national executive member of Catholic Council of India, Antose Antoney, called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday.
They discussed various activities and programmes of the Christian community and churches in Karnataka.
Reverend Giambattista Diquattro, who is on his first visit to the Archdiocese of Bengaluru, will participate in the Standing Committee Meeting of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at St. John's Medical College, and also to preside over the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the National Biblical, Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC), Bengaluru.
Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras will felicitate the ambassador at the Papal Nuncio on 4th May.
The Archdiocese of Bengaluru has arranged a Pontifical High Mass on Thursday, 4th May at 6 p.m., at The Infant Jesus Shrine, Viveknagar, which will be presided over by Diquattro.
