Bengaluru: On November 19, 2013, bank official Jyoti Uday, who went to withdraw money in an ATM, was attacked by an armed man. The incident, which was recorded in the CCTV, created ripples across the country. Four years later, Jyoti got a chance to watch 'Shuddi' - a movie based on the harrowing ATM attack incident - at Cinepolis on Wednesday.
Speaking to media, Jyoti said, "The movie has been shot very well. All the departments including story, screenplay and cinematography were excellent. I personally feel that this is a good message oriented movie and a must watch. I request everyone especially women not to miss the movie."
Adarsh Eshwarppa, who has written and directed the movie, thanked Jyoti and her family for appreciating the movie. He said the ATM scene had been adapted in his movie in a bid to create awareness on such gruesome incidents. The film, which has been widely appreciated, stars Nivedhitha, Lauren Spartano and Amrutha Karagada in the lead roles.
