Sahebaan organises Iftar get together in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Expatriates who spend most of their lives abroad should pay attention to their future security. It's the need of the hour for NRIs to have knowledge about tax compliance and comprehensive health insurance cover in India, said ADCB Bank's former VP Syed Siraj Ahmed.

He was addressing the gathering at an Iftar get-together at the India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) organised by the Abu Dhabi chapter of Sahebaan, a premier social group representing Urdu speaking Muslim community from the twin districts of Mangalore and Udupi.

He also highlighted the initiatives of Sahebaan such as creation of help-desks in Mangalore and Udupi for the benefit of returning NRIs and those with India-centric plans and education counselling and career.

The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, by a Moulana from South Canara.

The event was attended by guests from Karnataka NRI community from Dubai, Sharjah and other Emirates.
