Software glitch delays VTU exam results

Bengaluru: Software glitch has delayed results of semester exams held by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

According to reports, results of 1, 3,5 and 7 semester examinations have yet to be announced due to technical glitches while uploading marks. Sources said the problem occurred as the VTU was using its own software. Earlier, the process was handled by a Chennai firm.

The VTU has reportedly told colleges to upload internal marks of students once more, as the process has been marred by problems such as overlapping of marks and deletion of results of some students.

To ensure there is no discrepancy, the VTU has directed to redo the process again. April 22 is the last date for colleges under Bengaluru region to redo the process of uploading of internal marks.

According to reports, results could be out by last week of April or by May first week.
