Nottingham/UK: Pius Rasquinha has been elected President of Mangalorean United Konkani Association (MUKA) at the recent Biennial General Body Meeting held after the Easter celebrations at Bramcote Memorial Hall, Nottingham.
Vincent D'Souza, outgoing president, welcomed members and expressed gratitude to all the office bearers and members for their support. Secretary Pius Rasquinha read out the report and Treasurer Naveen Lobo presented the accounts for the year 2015-17. Both biennial report and accounts were approved by the members present.
John Fernandes conducted the election of the new committee for the year 2017-19. Pius Rasquinha was elected President unanimously.
