Bengaluru: Motorists travelling between west of Chord Road and Manjunath Nagar in Bengaluru will be having an easier commute as a new flyover was inaugurated.
Deputy CM G Parameshwara inaugurated the Manjunath Nagar flyover on the busy Chord Road on Monday.
"BBMP is working on a war footing to ease traffic mobility in Bengaluru. We have empowered BBMP by allocating over ₹15,000 crores in the last 5 years," tweeted Parameshwara.
The project was sanctioned in 2016 and was supposed to be completed in July but was delayed "due to rain and assembly election earlier this year increasing the project cost", Deccan Herald quoted the deputy CM as saying.
Rajajinagar MLA Suresh Kumar, BBMP Mayor Sampath Raj, and BBMP Commissioner Manjunath Prasad were also present on the occasion.
