Shivaprasad, a resident of Panjimogaru, is the third accused to be arrested on Wednesday. Supari killers Vineeth Poojary and Vishith Devadia are already in the police custody since March 27. According to the police, Shivaprasad’s name cropped up while interrogating Vineeth and Vishith. The duo told the police about the role of Shivaprasad and Srikant (40), a resident of Shantinagara, Kavoor. Shivaprasad had hit Baliga hard on his head leading to the latter’s death. Srikanth is said to have hired the killers and the police are yet to arrest him. Meanwhile, Mangaluru unit of NaMo Brigade (Yuva Brigade) founder Naresh Shenoy – the prime accused – has filed anticipatory bail application before the II Additional District and Sessions Judge Court here. Police are still on the lookout for Shenoy. The court has now asked the Public Prosecutor to file objections to the bail application.
