Submitted by Newseditor on Tue, 2015-12-01 17:07 Shimoga: A Deputy Conservator of Forest was brutally assaulted in Ravandadudoor, Hosanagar Taluk, Shimoga on Tuesday morning while he was trying to obstruct an encroachment at the spot. Govinda Raju, Deputy Conservator of Forest, yedeyur sub zone was informed about an encroachment at survey number 77 in Ravandadudoor, When Raju rushed to the spot, digging was being carried out with a JCB machine. When the officer tried to stop the work, he was attacked by a group of people. Govinda Raju has been admitted to a private hospital at Hosanagara. A case has been registered and the accused have been identified as Gopal Gowda, Kinaki Maheshwara, Chandrappa, Eshwarappa and Praveen.
