Speaking at a programme ‘P Lankesh Jothe Ondu Dina’ organised to commemorate progressive writer P Lankesh here recently, Basavalingaiah said while Lankesh strived to create awareness among people through his sharp articles on government and its policies, mainstream media, today, however, has failed in this regard. Reports of vested interests are highlighted but are never in support of progressive ideas, he observed. The programme was organised by Neelu Karnataka Forum of Shanthaveri Gopalagowda.
