Coast guard saves lives of five fishermen

Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-03-21 09:38 Okha (Gujarat): An Indian coast guard personnel on Sunday rescued five fishermen off the Okha coast. ICG ship Ameya was on rounds when it received a distress alert approximately 80 nm from Okha coast. The ship was immediately rushed towards the boat in trouble, a fishing boat, named as Madhav Krishna. The ICG team tried to save fishing vessel, but the boat sank as excess water had entered into it. The fishermen have been brought back to harbour okha today afternoon and are said to be healthy. (ANI)
