Shinzo Abe Lands in Delhi, Rs 8,000-Crore Deal Likely

Submitted by Subeditor on Fri, 2015-12-11 10:35 New Delhi: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrives here on a three-day visit to attend the ninth annual Indo-Japan Summit talks.  He was received by Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha at Indira Gandhi International Airport here. Prime Minister Abe will hold delegation level talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Saturday. Both the leaders are also likely to sign Rs 8,000-crore deal to build a bullet train network in India. He is also scheduled to address a business leaders' forum and will inaugurate a Japan-India Innovation Seminar. The visiting dignitary, accompanied by Prime Minister Modi, will also visit Varanasi on Saturday and attend Ganga Aarti at Dasaswamedh Ghat.
