In a first, KIA signs MoU with Ola for airport connectivity

Submitted by alvin on Thu, 2016-05-19 20:39 Bengaluru: In a first-of-its-kind MoU, the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has decided to allow cab aggregator Ola cabs to provide connectivity to the airport.As per the MoU, there will be a designated ‘Ola Zone’ at the KIA, which will allow Ola driver-partners to park their vehicles inside KIAB premises, with specifically demarcated areas to offer uninterrupted service to travellers.“By working together with KIAB, Ola aims to provide a convenient commuting option to hundreds of thousands of travellers who travel to and from the airport every day. Customers can book an Ola cab from their app on their arrival at KIAB. Their designated cab and driver will be waiting at the ‘Ola Zone’, across the Arrivals gate. Ola has also deputed queuerepresentatives to guide customers towards their cab if need be,” said Ola in a press release.Anuj Sahai, Vice-President – Alliances, Ola, said the MoU will make available a larger pool of cars for airport travellers with “lower ETAs”.Rates The rate card for Ola Cabs will remain the same.
