Due to the heavy rain, movement of traffic was affected near Mekhri Circle, Kempapura, Malleshwaram, Yeshwanthpur, KR Market, Trinity Circle, Koramangala, Vivek Nagar, Richmond Road, Tin factory, Inner Ring Road, J.C. Road, Old Madras Road, and Kasturi Nagar. The BBMP received over 14 complaints of trees being uprooted from different parts of the city. Mayor Manjunath Reddy was personally monitoring the control room. "The prahari team of palike was sent to Yelhanka, South, East and West zone to clear the fallen trees. Since the BBMP had started clearing silt from 32 major storm-water drains, there were no complaints of flooding. Work related to storm-water drains worth Rs32 crores will be taken up and completed in the next two weeks," said Reddy.Heavy rainfall also occurred at many places over south-interior Karnataka and at a few places over north-interior Karnataka.
