Sundar Metri, Director, IMD, said, “These are pre-monsoon showers. There will be thunderstorms in the next two days as well.”BBMP control room received 2039 calls and 1121 rain-related complaints. Cases of tree uprooting and over a dozen complaints related to water-logging were received from different parts of the city.Movement of traffic was also affected near Mekhri Circle and Kempapura and the road connecting to the airport witnessed slow moving traffic due to water-logging. There was bumper-to-bumper traffic on Richmond Road, Tin factory, Inner Ring Road, J.C. Road, Old Madras Road, and Kasturi Nagar.Rainfall also occurred at many places over south-interior Karnataka, at a few places over north-interior Karnataka and at isolated places over coastal Karnataka.
