Submitted by Newseditor on Mon, 2015-11-30 13:19 Bengaluru: Exulting the Bangaloreans to ensure proper garbage segregation and aiming to popularise the idea of “Swatcha Bengaluru”, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike had organised a cultural display at BBMP office premises here on Monday. Several students from MES school Chickmagaluru performed a street play here wherein the significance of waste management and garbage segregation was conveyed through folk songs and skits. Prior to the BBMP council meeting, Mayor B N Manjunath Reddy and Deputy Mayor Hemalatha Gopalaiah jointly inaugurated the performance. While inaugurating the show, Mayor B N Majunath Reddy requested the city inhabitants to take a stride towards a cleaner and attractive Bengaluru by ensuring effective garbage segregation and proper waste management.
