Submitted by Editor on Wed, 2016-03-09 20:08 Bengaluru: A 50-year-old cartoonist attached with a Kannada daily committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Srinivasanagar in South Bengaluru on Wednesday morning. The deceased SV Padmanabha worked as a cartoonist with Kannada Prabha daily in Bengaluru. Hailing from Shivamogga district, Padmanabha had been a resident of Srinivasanagar for many years. Police said that Padmanabha hanged himself when he was alone in his residence. The incident came to light when family members, who had gone out, returned home. The Chennammanakere Achchukattu police informed about the incident and rushed to the scene. The reason behind the suicide is yet to ascertained.
