The BBMP is considering a proposal to put in place a pay and park policy across major roads of Bengaluru. "We have not yet discussed the issue, but we have given directions to the Standing Committee of the BBMP to come up with a report on pay and park policy. After the report is submitted, we will discuss it in the council meetings. After that, we will send the report to the government for approval and implement it if we get the green signal from the government," said RS Sathyanarayana, ruling party leader of the BBMP.The BBMP had in 2013 submitted a similar proposal to the government during the tenure of Commissioner M Lakshminarayana in 2013. But the government had rejected the proposal.
