Submitted by Editor on Wed, 2016-02-10 00:50 Bengaluru: Rumours of leopards being spotted near VIBGYOR school in Marathahalli on Tuesday night forced school authorities to declare holiday on Wednesday.After the dramatic scenes witnessed on Sunday morning, when a leopard attacked and injured two people, including wildlife activist Sanjay Gubbi, residents claimed to have spotted two more leopards, following which they burst crackers and set fire to nearby bushes to keep the leopards out.Following the development, VIBGYOR announced a holiday for all its students on Wednesday. A SMS was sent to all the parents.As the news spread, the forest department sent 10 officials to monitor the situation. Varthur police have also rushed to the spot.
