'Bisile' Director Sandeep Gowda Dies in Mishap

Submitted by Subeditor on Tue, 2016-01-12 14:00 Benagluru: A 38- year old Kannada cinema director- cum- actor killed in an accident here on Monday early morning after his speeding scooter rammed into a road side tree at Jnanabharathi campus on Bangalore University Main Road in West Benagluru.   The Kamakshipalya traffic police said that the deceased has been identified as Sandeep AS aka Sandeep Gowda, a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar.   Police said that he had directed a movie “Bisile” which was released in the year 2010. He was about to direct his new movie “Hit Wicket” in the near future with Diganth and Apoorva Gowda as leading actors. But, his dream movie crashed out due to his unexpected demise.   Police said that the tragic incident occurred at around 3.15 am, when he was returning home from his friend's residence in his two wheeler. “He was heading towards Mysuru Road to reach his residence when his scooter rammed into a tree. He fell on the road and received a sever head injury and killed at spot. The passerby alerted the police about the incident,” a police officer said.   The body has been handed over to his family members after the postmortem examination at Victoria Hospital. A case of accident has registered by the Kamakshipalya traffic police and further probe is underway.
