Submitted by Subeditor on Wed, 2015-12-30 19:48 Bengaluru: Two people killed and more than 20 injured in a road accident here on Wednesday as a private bus toppled on national highway- 4 at Bhuvanahalli near Bengaluru international airport. The Devanahalli traffic police said that the deceased are identified as Nagendra, 19, a resident of Chikkaballapura and cleaner in the same bus and another as Murali Kumar, 25, a resident of Irigenahalli near Vijayapura and an accountant with private finance firm in Bengaluru city.Police added that more than 20 people injured in the incident and admitted at various private hospitals and two of them are in critical condition.The tragic incident occurred at around 8.15 am, when it was carrying more than 50 passengers from Chikkaballapura to Bengaluru city. The driver lost control over the bus due to high speed and it toppled in road. The cleaner Nagendra, who was at the door was killed at the spot as he stuck under the bus and Kumar too declared dead in a hospital.The Devanahalli traffic police have taken up a rash and negligence case against the driver, who is absconding. “The driver fled from the scene soon after the incident fearing public ire. We are on searching for the driver and got information that he was too injured in the incident,” a police officer said.
