Post-Pune Horror, Infy Tightens Security Across Campuses

Ltd has tightened security measures all over its campuses in Karnataka including Bengaluru, Mysuru and Mangaluru.It has asked its security officers and other officials to look into the matter and find out any security lacunae in the campuses. Sources said the management has issued a circular to its offices scattered over Karnataka and elsewhere to take stringent security measures as many woman employees work in those areas.A statement issued by Infosys and made available to the Bfirst.in from Infosys, the I-T major said it viewed the statement seriously and was cooperating with police investigations.“We have stringent security measures in place on all our campuses and have a zero tolerance policy against sexual harassment which extends to our contractual staff as well. The company will take necessary action as per policy, “ the statement said.The woman who was working at the canteen of Infosys at Pune was allegedly raped by two men. The men who allegedly raped her have been identified as Paritosh Baag and Prakash Mahadik who entered washroom while the woman was inside. One of the men raped the victim while the other filmed the horrific act, according police.
