Submitted by Editor on Sat, 2015-12-26 22:42 Bengaluru: A Sudan national and a student of Garden City College, who was riding pillion was killed on the spot after he came under the wheels of a canter truck while the rider escaped with minor injuries near Rammurthy Nagar bus stop on Ring Road in K R Puram traffic police station limits. The incident took place on Saturday late noon at around 3.40 pm. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Moosa, a BSc student while the injured rider, a Sudan national and a student of the same college, is identified as Abdul Rehman, both residents of T C Palya. According to the traffic police, Abdul and Mohammed Moosa, were returning to college from Kammanahalli after finishing their Optical English Course Class when the accident took place. Abdul, who was riding the bike at a high speed lost control over the wheels after he negotiated a rough turn to avoid collision with a BMTC bus which was said to be slowing down at the bus stop. Due to the sudden rash turn, the bike lost control and skidded due to which the rider Abdul fell towards the left side of the road and escaped with minor injuries while Mohammed Moosa, who fell onto the right side of the road came under the truck. Passers-by who informed the police rushed Abdul to a nearby hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment while Mohammed Moosa’s body was sent for post mortem. K R Puram traffic police have registered a case under section 304 A in this regard.
