In all, 12 cute doggies, six stunning cats and a rare goat starred in this show organised by the Nature Club of St. Joseph's College at its premises near Richmond Circle. Viewers also welcomed them wetting the stage with thunderous applause. Very few knew that some pooped due to “stage fear.” The event was organised in association with Environmental Science Club and Earth Five 'R' which emphasised the importance of animals in human life. A lecture was delivered to spread awareness on the pet animals. St. Joseph's College is organising this programme since last year to promote affection towards animals and pets in human life. The pet show showcased different breeds of pets that are rarely seen in daily life. The dogs on rare breeds stole the show. However, the show stopper was a Russian cat owned by a student of the same college. Speaking to Bfirst.in, D N J, a student of the college said, “We are having fun. It feels very great to familiarise with such cute animals. I am feeling totally refreshed after taking part in this event. We need to spread awareness about the beauty of petting animals. They are so nice to have in our lives. People will love to have the animals after they get educated about it”.
